Apologies carers, videos on zoom are now recorded in 2k and our platform here only accepts 1080p, meaning the videos I have prepared are incompatible. I am looking for a way round this and will hopefully have material up from 9 am Sunday, should you wish to use videos. As always, these aren't obligatory and are simply a resource to access as and when you are able to.

A number problem when crossing a bridge.....
When out for some fresh air, please be on the look out for numbers and counting challenges . Are there lists of numbers with some missing? Can your child identify the problem? As we always say, talking about numbers we see is a valuable way of consolidating skills and building confidence. Remember, don't just test your child- be tested yourself! Dear Parents and Carers
Below is a page with images from our book of the week 'Penguin'. Have a look with your child and see if you can recognise the pictures from the book. Next sound out their names and label them. Please remember, lion may be spelt, "l-igh-r-n' or indeed it may be spelt in many other ways. You can write alongside 'lion'- but praise your child for using their sounds and "blame" English for being a pain in the neck, your child's phonics skills are strong and they are using them! Miss Carol will have some copies of the images at school if you need to pick some up.

Dear Mums, Dad and Carers
Thank you so much for your help over the last 6 weeks. Next half term, we are going to be completing our learning of new letters and sounds. We will then be consolidating our skills and applying them. It is of vital importance that we are reading with our children. Please find below a video showing the log in process for Bug Club, giving access to all our reading books. You parents and carers have done an incredible job over these weeks. Next half term we will be having small group sessions as well as the whole class phonics and hopefully the return to school will begin within a few weeks.
Please also find a knowledge organiser outlining the theme for next half term: We Are Geographers. I have also added some links to stir the children's interest and imaginations! I hope to speak to everybody this afternoon for any questions which need to be asked!

Dear Wonderful Parents and Carers
As I watch the children writing each day I can see the work that has been put in by yourselves, writing is clear and listening skills are strong! Today, and over the weekend, please support your child to access the resources so they can work independently. At this point, I need to see where we are as a class. This is not a test of your child, but simply an exercise to see how well approaches have worked so far, and to see where I need to revisit or adapt my teaching and resources.
Please make sure you are with your child as they work, listen carefully to my voice during flashcards and make sure your child is making the same sound I am.
Watch todays videos and please record the results.
We are a great team and your child is achieving and developing!

Please encourage your child to write independently using the letters and sounds they have in their tool box! Serious maybe be written; s-e-r-ee-o-s scary may be written s-k-e-r-ee...all are what we call phonetically plausible, which simply means the children are using what they have been taught so far!
